We have lift off

The day has finally arrived friends - RADA have released their application form. And I must be honest, I gasped slightly when I clicked on that link and was not met with a disappointing message. I cannot wait to get started! Because I got past the preliminary last year, I go straight to the second round - so I doubt my audition date will be before the new year. Can't wait to go back.

Follow this link for a form: http://www.rada.ac.uk/rada_files/pdfs/application_acting_2014.pdf

  2. Just been reading your blogs, well done for geting so far through RADA, you must be good. I'm auditioning this year aswell. Slightly different to you though as I'm a 23 year old guy! Did you notice if there were any people of a similar age to me in your auditions and did they all have expereince?

    Good luck!

    1. Hi! Well, honestly I would say that you'll see a lot more people your age the further you get through the process. After the first two rounds, they have turned away a lot of people straight out of college etc. By the finals, pretty much everyone was in their 20s. There was even a 32 year old. With experience, I wouldn't worry too much just get as much as possible and display an active involvement in theatre and film. Watch productions, read plays, watch films, enough that you know what you're talking about. Best of luck, hopefully I'll see you.

  3. Hello! I've been reading your posts for a while now and your excellent RADA audition at such a young age is really inspiring. Would you mind answering a few of my questions via email or hangouts? :) x

  4. Hi Heather, I am the other one sowantedtocometotheauditionassoonaspossible person :D How long do you think I will need to wait to my date in RADA, if I've sent the application form on 5th Nov? Is it unlikely I will get a December date? Thanks in advance! :)

    1. Not too sure, but I think you'll definitely get a December date. But because of the holidays, there is a chance they might schedule you for early January.

  6. Heather, for how long does the RADA first audition lasts, estimated? I'm not sure how to buy the ticket for the train back.
Is it really 15 minutes walk from Euston?

    1. Put aside about an hour maybe an hour and a half. While your actual audition will be just over five minutes, you actually are given a random number and put in the queue to audition. You could be number one and go first or be number seven and last in your group. So better safe than sorry. Grab a Starbucks or browse the shops afterwards if you have spare time.
From Euston, I have no idea sorry. It's a 15 minute walk from Tottenham Court Road on the central line or a two minute walk from Goodge Street - northern line.
