Originally, Rose Bruford was not going to be on my list of auditions. Through word of mouth and talking to people who had been there, I applied - not even looking at their website. I didn't have any expectations for the audition and had nothing to lose because it was one that I didn't particularly care for, or at least not in the way that I cared for RADA.
It was the quickest audition I have ever done. After a tour of the grounds, we waited in the canteen and went in individually. They ask for you to bring a passport picture. DO - it will earn you a few brownie points. But don't feel that you're judged and will be rejected if you forget.
I went in, introduced myself and told them what speeches I would be performing. They said whenever you're ready - I performed my Shakespeare and then was stopped half way through my modern. This was expected. As they only want to see one and a half, make sure to perform the one that shows you off best first. And then I left. I was auditoned for no longer than 3 minutes. No questions.
7 days later I got a recall email.
